E-commerce Sales Manager

1. JOB PURPOSE

DMS will soon be announcing that we have been awarded MENA representation for one of the world’s leading social media/discovery platforms. A dedicated sales team will be created including the below role.

The e-commerce Sales Manager is accountable for growing the Platform’s performance and ecommerce client business through a well-defined strategy and sound partnerships with potential direct/performance customers. The role involves building relationships with SMBs and direct clients. Their work will focus on optimizing sales volumes, acquiring new partnerships, and coordinating with tech teams and account managers to maximize revenue and grow conversations.

2. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES & OBJECTIVES

  • Build a solid understanding of the assigned brands and their category dynamics.
  • Contribute to the development of business solutions.
  • Define an e-commerce strategy based on the available products.
  • Identify opportunities to accelerate growth for the business.
  • Work closely with the Platform to share funnel conversion improvement ideas, feedback & present results based on market knowledge.
  • Prospect opportunities based on seasonality and market requirements to drive incremental revenue.
  • Ensure finalized revenue goals are met or exceeded as set by the Director.
  • Research and analyze industry trends, seeking opportunities to bridge gaps in business objectives, pushing the business forward to exceed financial targets.
  • Ensure to take a collaborative working approach with other units ie Publisher, Client, Product, CRM etc.
  • Able to use planning and reporting tools to deliver better value propositions to clients and contribute to weekly reports on the portfolios current standing.
  • In partnership with the CRM team and Account managers, ensure campaign is on track and performing as per objectives.
  • Create successful case studies and circulate them in the market.

3. OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep up to date on media and technology landscape changes
  • Submit weekly pipeline data and attend quarterly revenue meetings

4. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/ TRAINING/ QUALIFICATIONS

A. Education/Experience:

  • University degree in any field of study as long as there’s a strong degree of passion to join the digital industry
  • Minimum 7 years experience in the media industry with a focus on social media and performance products

  • Numerical Skills: Ability to analyze and understand mathematical data related to budget, sales, forecasting, research and trends.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems/ opportunities, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
